The Touch Foundation
The Who Cares? Campaign builds upon the mission of the Touch Foundation – a nonprofit organization that is addressing the severe shortage of health workers in sub-Saharan Africa, using Tanzania as a base.

We believe it is unacceptable in the 21st century for people to die because they don’t have access to a doctor or a nurse. Yet, in sub-Saharan this happens every day. Working in Tanzania since 2004, the Touch Foundation has trained over 1,500 doctors, nurses and other health workers in a rural region of the country – where the problem is most challenging. We are also strengthening existing health systems – laying the groundwork for change.

In the end, we know that these health workers will save thousands of lives – men, women and children who might otherwise die from malaria, TB, HIV and other treatable conditions.

The Campaign aims to inspire action among people like you. We provide the tools and knowledge to make your enthusiasm come to life! Help us to create real change and improves the lives of some of the world’s poorest people. To learn more about the broader work of the Touch Foundation, please visit us.
