Happy New Year!

Another year over, a new one just beginning and the Touch Foundation would like to express its appreciation for a successful 2009.  In November, 24 MD students graduated along with 166 students from Bugando’s seven other health disciplines, adding critical human capacity to Tanzania’s healthcare system.  As we reflect on the successes of 2009, we are inspired by what 2010 may bring.  Similarly, many of the MD and other healthcare students the Touch Foundation is helping to support at Bugando University are equally inspired for the coming year.

“It is my hope that all my future dreams and plans will start to show the brightness of success. I basically dream of becoming a medical doctor with blessed hands and that will start expressing itself in my fifth [and final] academic year during my senior clinical rotations.  It’s my plan to conduct some research during my elective field duration next year.”
